We strive to relieve the needs of children and young adults (up to the age of 25) with special education needs or disabilities who reside in Coventry and the surrounding area and their families and carers, by providing accessible activities, events and recreational opportunities and by providing support, information and advice.
Ladybug Lodge has been founded by Josie Wheel. Josie's younger sister, Rosie, has PMLD and they have grown up in Coventry trying to make as much accessible as possible. As a family, their favourite thing to do together is play but there is very limited places they can go in the holidays which Rosie can fully access. Josie has enlisted a team of trustees - a mix of previous colleagues and SEN parents - to ensure we can make a place in Coventry in which SEN children have the opportunity to access accessible play with their families!

The charity was formed in 2006 and is a totally self-funding charity, we rely on people and businesses to raise funds for us so that we can provide the much-needed memory holidays to our families. The way the charity came about is a story you can read on Our Founder page, told to you by the charity founder, Maria Hanson MBE.me&dee has a simple mission, to ensure families going through difficult and uncertain times are gifted with memories they can treasure, never losing sight of what truly matters. Because it’s those special moments shared with the ones we love, no matter how complicated circumstances may be, that are most precious of all.

Our organisation is a well established, registered charity which provides FREE complementary treatments to children and young people with disabilities, health problems and special needs. We are based in the centre of Coventry and are currently offering treatments to families where treatment is either not available or limited to them on the NHS or is not affordable to the family from the private sector.
